The pages are filled with Recipe Cards or pages for shopping list. It gives you space for those Sunday through Saturday meal planning and other special events.

Begin by covering a 6″ x 6″ chipboard mini album with Authentique Delicious pattern papers! Tie red netting ribbon from May Arts Ribbon around the bind.

Add alphabet stickers to the outside cover along with one of the banner flags from the Delicious Element Sheet.

Adhere a few pieces of metal utensils to cover with a few spiral flowers created from the Delicious pattern paper.

Add a fussy cut journal and tag from the Delicious collection to the front cover.

Add the “Favorite Recipe” Element to top of mats along with more of the spiral flowers from the Delicious Collection!

Inside Cover: Create a pocket to add extra recipe cards or note to.

Blooming Outdoor Junk Journal with Eileen Hull Inspiration Team

Happy September…Fall is in the air and it time to get outdoors! What better way to celebrate with Eileen Hull’s Inspiration Team but to create projects with an “outdoor” theme!I created a Blooming Outdoor Notebook to go with the junk journal pages that I created last month. (Details at the end of post)

Die cut two pieces from mat board using Pocket Notebook. Trim off one section on each piece. Adhere both pieces together.

Cover outside covers and bind of prepared Pocket Notebook with pattern paper.

Repeat on the inside covers and bind of Pocket Notebook.

Circle punch image from Epherema paper; adhere to inside of cover to form pocket.Add small tags inside.

Add small scallop border to back inside cover.

Decorate cover with paper doily and circle Epherema piece.

Fussy cut one of natures beauties that we see outdoors…the dragonfly. Adhere just the body to front of Epherema piece so it will look like the dragonfly is in flight.

Add chipboard and flowers to top of Epherema image along with fussy cut dragonfly.

Add twine bows to prepared notebook…

Die cut “journal” out of pink card stock. Add to front of notebook.

Add the detail insert journal pages inside of Junk Journal Pocket Notebook. Find details HERE for the journal insert.

How to Use a Sketch

It is time for SCHOOL! We love to take those first day of school photos whether our kids are able to go to their local school or like us having virtual school! I am sharing how to create a that first day of school layout!

Did you know there are some fabulous sites that you can get layouts and card sketches to work with? Creative Scrapbooker Magazine has a “free” sketch layout each month but there are other sites like A Cherry on Top or Page Maps that has both card and layout sketches to name a couple more. Some also have challenges using sketches!

When you work with layouts you can go literal with the sketch or use it as a jumping off point like I did with my layout! I added a collection of journal cards and paper to create the patter of thirds from the layout.

Added a place for a photo where the Title is shown.

Add small cards and border strip where the flowers are shown to be.

Add a the school banner from the Scholastic to top of layout using pop dots and natural twine bows.

If you aren’t a Scrapbooker that is okay; you can use the same sketch idea to create a card or maybe some altered work. Really a sketch is the jumping off place for your creative style. Enjoy, Pam
