SinCity Stamps Art Journal Page

Art Journaling Pages are all the rave right now…..so I thought why not give it a try….lol, so here is a sneak peek at a part of my page using SinCity Stamps Art Journaling with Terri Sproul Stamp Set and  Birds and Clocks Stamp Set.

So here is my first page…so let me share with you a few of the simple steps to make it but remember every page will be uniquely done because no can control the spray of the mist, the depth of the modeling paste, etc but you will get an over all feel of the project as you read on….

I began by die cutting out to large Tim Holtz tags, one from chipboard the other from a piece of white card stock, gluing them together (I use glue sticks) and adhered them together.

I stamped my Art Journaling brick background stamp with the Memories Black ink, stamped it in a couple of places on the tag. I then used another of the background stamps and this time I inked the stamped, stamped on a piece of scrap paper and then stamped on my tag to give it a muted look.

I sprayed the tag several times with Lemon Zest, Squeezed Orange, Postbox Red, and Cut Grass Green Dylusions Spray. To get the look I wanted I sprayed several light coats of each color, dabbing off between spray, letting it dry and respaying. It took a bit to do it but you can speed up the process by using a low temp embossing gun.

I stamped my Clock Stamp from the set onto white card stock using Memories Black Ink, cut it out….

Sprayed it with the Lemon Zest, Postbox red and Vibrant Turquoise using the same technique I shared on the tag.

I stamped my calendar page that I am using for my art journal book the two different flourishes from the Art Journal Stamp Set using Memories Black Ink…..

I also used the word journaling stamp and Memories Crimson Ink at the bottom of the calendar page, I sprayed the page with Lemon Zest and Melted Chocolate Dylusions Spray and allowed it to dry before I continued…..

Once dry I used a stencil, modeling paste, and a palette knife to put my texture along the page sides and the circle clock I have cut out. Make sure to allow the modeling past to dry completely or you will have a smeared mess…..

Once the paste has completely dried I laid my tag down to get placement for the Art Stamp I was going to be stamping on my page using Memories Art Print Brown Ink, Mare sure to move your tag before you start stamping……and once finished stamping adhere into place.

I added a few brads here and there to my project…..

Along with metals, gemstones, a flourish I painted with a Red Pepper Paint Dabber, ribbon, word stickers from Little Yellow Bicycle….

Make sure to check out all the fun stamp sets at SinCtiy Stamps, please feel free to follow our SinCity Stamps Blog and we also have a Pinterest account if you aren’t aware of that. I also hope you try your hand at art journaling I know I had a great time making my first page and the Memories Ink stamps are the way to go when using sprays and mist. Just sayin’…..Hugs Pammejo
