Every Single Day Mixed Media Card with Xyron and Clearsnap

Hi Xyron and Clearsnap Fans! 
Today I created a “Every Single Day” Mixed Media Card using Xyron adhesive and Clearsnap Colorbox Blend Inks.

Begin by first distressing light blue and red pattern paper with a distress tool; ink edges with Clearsnap Colorbox Nutmeg Blend

Apply Clearsnap Colorbox Stop ink to top of craft mat; spray with water. 
Drag piece of watercolor paper through wet ink. Dry.

 Stamp images from Memories Stamp set to top of prepared inked watercolor paper.

Spatter with white paint; dry. 
Distress edges of prepared paper; ink edges with Clearsnap Colorbox Blends Nutmeg ink.

Adhere prepared background paper to top of card front with Xyron Tape Runner with Permanent Adhesive.

Paint chipboard pieces with white paint; dry.

Ink each of the prepared chipboard pieces with Clearsnap Colorbox Blends ink

Emboss each piece with Emerald Creeks Supplies Baked Texture Embossing Powder.

Adhere butterfly to top of card front.

Adhere prepared chipboard pieces to card front.

Stamp sentiment with embossing ink; emboss with Aroma Just Java embossing powder. 
Ink over top of prepared piece lightly with Clearsnap Colorbox Blends Stop Ink. 
Distress edges of sentiment and pattern paper; ink edge with Clearsnap Colorbox Blends Nutmeg Ink.

Add to front of card with pop dots.

Memories Card with Blank Page Muse

*Learn from Yesterday, Live for Today and Hope for Tomorrow” is a motto I have always tried to live by.  I love that I was able to incorporate the sentiment into my Memories Mixed Media Card. We should always try to live each day to its fullest, learn from our yesterdays and look forward to the next day…I think that is capture in the flight of the butterflies with the softness of the flowers against a background of fun.

Apply oxide inks to top of watercolor paper; spatter with water. Dry. 
Adhere to top of card base along with black and green mats. 

Stamp background images to top of prepared watercolor paper. 

Lay stencil on top of prepared paper; apply past with palette knife. Dry.
Adhere to top of card. 

Emboss chipboard pieces using Emerald Creek Embossing powder.

Adhere prepared chipboard to top of card. 

Stamp flowers and butterflies on watercolor paper using black ink. 

Color with distress markers and water brush. 

Fussy cut flowers and butterflies out with scissors. 
Adhere together. 
Add flowers and butterflies to card front. 

Add ribbon and bow to card. 

Stamp sentiment to cream card stock with black ink; apply distress ink over top. 
Add to green and black mats; place on card front with pop dots.

Coffee and Friends are Perfect Together… with Xyron and Derwent

Hi Xyron fans! What goes better than having coffee with friends but creating with Xyron and Derwent Academy Products!!! I created a fun card while having my morning coffee doing just that!

Begin by stamping 2 of the coffee images on to Derwent Academy Heavy Weight Marker Paper (50lb weight) 9″ x 12″ Pad using black ink. Color the images with Derwent Academy Water Soluble Markers (20 Markers) (There are 20 markers in the box so lots of beautiful markers to choice from.)

Adhere pattern paper and border strip together using your Xyron Tape Runner with Permanent Adhesive.

Adhere to card front.

Run a small piece of the Derwent Academy Heavy Weight Marker Paper (50lb weight) 9″ x 12″ Pad through the Xyron Creative Station Lite with Permanent Adhesive. 

Die cut Splat from the prepared paper.

Repeat to cut 3 splats.

Emboss splats while they still have the adhesive on the back with Aroma Just Java and Chocolate Dream embossing powder.

Remove adhesive from the back of embossed pieces and add to front of card. Add circle to front of card with pop dots.

Scallop punch one of the colored images out using scallop punch. Adhere to front of card with Xyron Tape Runner with Permanent Adhesive.

Stamp sentiment using black ink, adhere to black card stock with Xyron Tape Runner with Permanent Adhesive.

Adhere small flag and fussy cut flowers to top of card front.

Wrap brown twine around card; tie in bow.

Fussy cut second colored image and add to front of card with pop dots. Add enamel dot!

Paradise Card with Derwent Acadamy and Xyron

Good morning to all of our Xyron Friends….
Today I am sharing a Paradise Card; after all it is summertime and who isn’t looking for some time in “Paradise”!

Begin by adhering pattern paper to the top of card base using Xyron Mega Runner,

Photo 1: Stamp image on Derwent Academy Watercolour Paper Pad to mark the area you want to apply Derwent Academy Watercolour  Pencils to. 
Photo 2: Apply Derwent Academy Watercolour  Pencils to top of paper.
Photo 3: Apply water over top of pencil marks using Derwent Academy Assorted Artist Brush; make sure it dries completely before stamping. 
Photo 4: Stamp flamingos to prepared paper. Set to one side.
Photo 4: Place chipboard pieces through Xyron Creative Station Lite with Permanent Adhesive.
Emboss with Emerald Creek Embossing Powder. 
Photo 5: Run embossed chipboard frame through Xyron Creative Station Lite with Permanent Adhesive. 

Cadmium Yellow, Yellow Oxide, Red, Orange, Terracotta

Adhere frame to top of Tropical Epherema Card. 
Trip around frame. 


Add leaves to front of card. 

Add prepared frame to top of card with pop dots. 

Fussy cut flamingos out. 

Add flamingos to top of card. 

Add bow and fussy cut flowers to front of card.

America the Beautiful Canvas with Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts

Hi Gypsy Soul Fans…Pam here!!! I am returning to do the blog for a guest appearance for the month of July and what better way to celebrate but with a mixed media canvas using some fabulous chippies from Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts!!!

Begin by giving canvas, Mixed Media Fragments 3 and Deco Stars with gesso; dry. 

Re-paint chippies with Yellow Oxides; dry. Distress pattern paper using distress tool;  adhere to top of prepared canvas. Dry brush Gesso and Yellow Oxide to top of pattern paper. 

Emboss prepared Mixed Media Fragments 3  with Emerald Creek Baked Texture Ancient Amber using embossing ink. Adhere to prepared canvas. 

Mat sticker to pattern paper; add to top of canvas with pop dots. 

Die cut rosettes; add to top of canvas. 

Emboss Deco Stars with Emerald Creek Supplies Baked Texture Deep Sea and Chunky Rust. 

Add prepared Deco Stars to top of canvas. Add a few metal stars. 

Circle punch 1/2″ circles from pattern paper; add to top of rosettes. Add “USA” to top of circles. 

Add stickers postage stamps to top of canvas. 

Finish with a few more metal stars.

Happily Ever After Mixed Media Card with Xyron and Newton’s Nook

I began my card by laying Newton’s Nook Floral Lace Stencil on to white card stock and applying Colorbox Blends to the top of stencil. 

Adhere teal card stock to top of card with Xyron Mega Tape Runner.  
Adhere prepared stenciled paper to top of green card stock. 

Apply ink to top of  lace with Colorbox Blend ink.

Run prepared lace through the Xyron 1.5 Sticker Maker.

Add to top of prepared stenciled card stock. 
Add to front of card with pop dots. 

Stamp doily image from Newton’s Nook Wedding Frills twice to white card stock with embossing ink. 
Apply Patina Oxide Baked Texture to the top. 
Heat emboss. 
Stamps sentiment with black ink to center of one of the embossed pieces. 

Fussy cut both images out; layer together with pop dots. 
Add to front of card.

Stamp flowers form  Newton’s Nook Wedding Frills to top of white card stock with black ink. 
Color stamped images using Colorbox Blends, paint brush and mist of water. 

Fussy cut flowers out; adhere a few using the Xyron 3″ Disposable Sticker Maker
Add to top of prepared card. 

Form a few of the prepared flower. 
Add to top of prepared card.

Add Nuvo Crystal Drops to center of flowers. 
Add small Teal enamel dot to card. 

Spray seam binding ribbon; ink with Colorbox blend ink; dry. 
Create bow when dry using colored seam binding and tan twine. 
Add to top of card. 

Add “Love You” metal heart to finish the Happily Ever After Card.

Dad’s Keepsake and Gift Card Box

Hi Authentique Fans! I am sharing with how to create a Dad’s Keepsake Box filled with gift cards, small gifts, and of course money! If you have your dad’s gift already…no worries since this a perfect idea for any holiday, birthday or special occasion like a wedding, graduation, Sweet 16, etc. using any of Authentique Collections.

Begin by getting a chipboard box with lid  to cover. I used a 11 1/4″ x 6 3/4″ box that is 2″ deep. 

Cover inside of box and lid with Accolade paper using you favorite adhesive. Decorate the bottom of pattern paper; add border and paper strip to edge of box.

Gather up some of your dad’s favorite shopping gift cards, small gifts, money, candy, etc….

Decorate top of box with Accolade pattern paper, border and stickers.

Adhere one Epherema Card to top of box. Add second one to top with pop dots. Emboss Dad letters with Chunky Rust Baked Texture; adhere to top of box.

Adhere jute around edges of box lid. Adhere pattern paper to top of chipboard; die cut gear out. Adhere to top of box. Adhere metal gears to top of box.

Fussy cut flags from pattern paper; add to top of box with pop dots.

Add “Dream” Epherema Card to box with pop dots. Adhere metal corners and key to box.

Add small fussy cut tags to box.

Adhere small twine bows to flag banner and hot air balloon. Add metal underneath Dad frame.

Dad…My Heart and Soul Card with Emerald Creek Supplies


I am 
sharing  my  “Dad…My Heart and Soul Card for the Emerald Creek Supplies “Guy Style” Challenge! First, my guys are all a bit on the grungy side, lol. They love working in the yard, messing with cars and tools, hiking, fishing and anything outdoors. So my “Guy Style”  first of all means a salute to all the men in my life. I couldn’t help but to create a Dad’s  Day Card since it is in June, plus it gives me a chance to play with Emerald Creek’s Seth Baked Texture and some a the Vintage Timepiece Stamp. 

Begin by creating your background by stamping the Vintage Timepiece on white card stock using embossing ink. (Mask the top of the timepiece off to just get the watch part.) Apply Baked Texture Dirty Sand; heat set.

Ink embossed paper with distress inks. 

Distress edges of pattern paper, black card stock and embossed paper. Adhere pieces together; adhere to top of card base. 

Emboss die cut pieces with Baked Texture Embossing Powder. 

Distress pattern paper and card stock mats; wrap with twine. Tie into bow. 
Add to top of card with pop dots. a
Place sentiment to top of card front. 
Adhere embossed Umbrella Man to top of card. 

Add embossed Crosshatch piece to bottom of card.

Love You Mixed Media Tag

“Love You” Tag using some of my favorite products….

Apply Colorbox Blends to one of GRAPHIC 45 WHITE TAGS!!!

Lay a TIM HOLTZ STENCIL FROM STAMPERS ANONYMOUS to top and apply WENDI VECCHI CRACKLE PASTE to top with palette knife; dry. 
Apply Colorbox blends over the top of second stencil. 

Add line work with white pen. 


Die cut SETH APTER Ray of Sunshine from cardstock. 

Using XYRON CREATIVE STATION; apply adhesive to embossed pieces and doily. 

Place doily to top of prepared tag. 

Add embossed ray of sunshine to tag. 

 

Place the embossed frame and stamped “Love You” to tag. 
Add a paper doll image to tag with pop dots. 

Tie MAY ARTS RIBBON to top of tag along with a few flowers. 

To finish add a few more flowers to the bottom of tag along with a PRIMA/FINNABAIR heart.
