Happy Holidays Card – Color Palette

Happy Holiday…can you believe only 11 more days to Christmas. It is so hard to believe how fast 2012 has went by. Today I made a “Happy Holiday” Card to go along with the Color Palette at Scrapbook News and Review. I used Heidi Grace Frost Blend Collection to make my card. I fussy cut one of the large snowflakes from a sheet of the paper, placing it over the line sticker label with pop dots. Make sure to tie your ribbon on before placing your snowflake on your card.

I hope I have inspired you to try the Color Palette for yourself and please go check out Scrapbook News and Review. Hugs Pammejo

Halloween Card – SNR Inspiration

Today I made a 5×7 card today using the Haunted Hallows Chandelier Crows paper and distressed it with Tim Holtz Wild Honey, Dusty Concord, and Barn Door Distress Ink. I think it turned out pretty cool distressing the paper. I also fussy cut the border from the paper and added it to my card base.  My spider webs are stamped from the Heidi Graces Halloween Clear Stamp. I inked my stamp with Versafine Onyx Black ink stamped it once and then again, this will give you a shadow effect. My skull is from the Haunted Hallows sticker sheet, I placed it on with pop dots and made sure that it was nice and level. I then made a dome using Glossy Accent, make sure you set your card to one side until the Glossy Accent is dry.

I love the idea of taking a spring photo and being inspired to do a Halloween project with it, so here is your challenge and to get more inspiration you need to head over to the Scrapbook News and Review Blog and see what others have made. Hugs Pammejo

13 Days of Halloween – Day Eleven and Twelve

Welcome to Day Eleven and Twelve of the 13 Days of Halloween. I am combining the days because of my schedule but will have a real treat for day 13 so if you came from the talented Lisa of Scrappin with Lisa you are heading in the right direction for the hop. I made a 5×7 card today using the Haunted Hallows Chandelier Crows paper and distressed it with Tim Holtz Wild Honey, Dusty Concord, and Barn Door Distress Ink. I think it turned out pretty cool distressing the paper. I also fussy cut the border from the paper and added it to my card.

My spider webs are a stamp from Heidi Graces Halloween Clear Stamp. I inked my stamp with Versafine Onyx Black ink stamped it once and then again, this will give you a shadow effect. My skull is from the Haunted Hallows sticker sheet, I placed it on with pop dots and made sure that it was nice and level. I then made a dome using Glossy Accent, make sure you set your card to one side until the Glossy Accent is dry

I added my purple ric rack using glue dots and my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher. My ribbon was to bright so I just distressed it with Dusty Concord Distress Ink to tone the color down. I hope you enjoyed my Crow Card and stop back again to see what else I have been up to. I hope you enjoyed my card and continue the hop by going to Create, Believe, Imagine at Dreamscrapbooks.

Bo Bunny Sketch Challenge Friday with Sketch Inspirtion – "Snow Child"

A friend told me about the Bo Bunny sketch challenge so I thought I would do a layout using the new Bo Bunny “Midnight Frost” Collection. It is so pretty. I decided to flip the sketch because it worked better with my photos.
I had to use the photos of my grand daughter Annie because of the colors and the snowflakes that were on her jogging suit. The love a toddler learning to walk and trying to run, never a moment to sit down, so we were very thankful for our playpen. The layout deadline is November 3rd for the challenge.

I used the outside border of the “Midnight Frost Chipboard” Piece. I couldn’t discard it when it to is so pretty. I placed it on a piece of the “Midnight Frost” paper and placed both pieces on to a piece of green card stock. I was able to capture the curve of the chipboard better when I did this.

I love hidden journaling. So the tag that I used is a Heidi Grace Journal Mount Sticker. I placed a sheer purple ribbon that has been stapled on to the left corner using the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, also added a few lavender gemstones to the center of the snowflakes. I just slid it in behind my photo.
I pulled the journal tag out a bit so you would have a better look at how it will be. I love clever ways to make my pages have some interest and adventure to them.
I placed my flourish to the right side of my double mounted photo after I added some of my purple sheer ribbon to it and added pop dots to the snowflake that I fussy cut. I added a some gemstones and some glittery snowflakes from EK Success to my layout.
Here is my title “Snow Girl” part of it is from the “Midnight Frost” Chipboard and the “child” is from English Rose font from Quickutz.
Supplies:
Bo Bunny Midnight Frost “Moonlight, Frost Flurry and Chipboard”
Bo Bunny “Tutu Dot”
Green Cardstock
Heidi Grace “Cardstock Journal Mount Stickers
EK Success ” Snowflakes”
Quickutz “English Rose”
Lavender and Black Gemstones
1/4″ lavender sheer ribbon
Glue Arts
Pop Dots

"Homespun Chic Card Tin

I made this lovely tin using the Homespun Chic Collection. Inside are two A2 cards, one 3 x3 card and a gift tag. I have them further down on the blog post.
On the top of the tin I place one of the Layered Frames from the collection and backed it with some of the Vintage Sewing Pattern paper. Love Prima Flowers so just had to add them to the top of the tin along with some bling, lace and tulle. It turned out to be a wonderful gift to give to someone special in my life.

I selected Heidi Grace’s Dream stamps to use in the collection. The heart on the first card is from the Melody Ross Chip Art hearts that I covered with a piece of the Vintage Jane paper. The heart gives dimension to the card, I also took one of the Glass Paper clips and broke off the paper clip so I would be able to continue my theme on my cards and glued it to the center of one of my circles. All pieces throughout the collection is inked with Warm Red Colobox ink. On the button of the 3 x 3 card I enjoy using twine to give button character and depth as to have it just glue onto something.

On my Dream Card I stamped my image and than using my Copic Markers -R24,R27, R29 and G14 I color in my frame. I used the G14 on the borders of the other projects also; again just to give consistency to the cards and tags. I added one of the Glass Paper clips to the top of the Dream frame and placed it and the Imagine frame up on pop dots. Also placed a few of the Prima Flowers and some Kaisercraft bling to my tag. Hope you enjoy my gift tin and make a few for your gift giving.
