Face Your Fears Mixed Media Journal

Where The Wild Things Are!!!
Some of find fear even in the littlest of wild things ..
ha, ha, ha, like a grasshopper!
So I created a small mixed media journal so I could face my fears!!!
Base coat journal with gesso; dry. 
Paint randomly with yellow, teal, green and red paint; dry. 
 Apply crackle paint; dry. 
Apply wash of Paynes Grey; dry. 
Apply Quinacridone Gold; dry. ‘
Stamp  image on journal with black paint; dry. 
Stamp sentiment on journal with black paint; dry. 
Stamp background image on journal with black paint; dry. 
Spatter with white paint; dry. 
Stamp image on white paper; color with markers.
 Fussy cut. 
Add to front of journal with varnish; dry. 
Paint line work around image with black paint; dry.

Smile on Sunshine…I am Thinking of You…. with Stampendous

 Today is all about that Toxic Sunflower Smile on my blog today….
Don’t you just love this sweet Sunflower Smile Stamp from Stampendous!!! 
It is the perfect match for Andy Skinner’s Toxic Stamps and Dreamweavers Hexagon Stencil! 

Adhere brown card stock to front of card base.
Stamp Toxic background image yellow card stock with black ink. 
Ink edges with brown ink, adhere to front of card base.
 Apply Crackle Embossing Paste to brown card stock using palette knife. 
Allow to dry completely. 
 Wrap and tie green ribbon around bottom of card front. 
Add bow with Glue dots. 
Adhere Crackle piece to stamp yellow card stock, mat to brown card stock. 
Place on card front with pop dots. 
 Stamp image on mixed media paper with black ink, color with markers. 
Fussy cut out and adhere to crackle mat piece. 
 Stamp sentiment to yellow card stock with black ink, mat on brown card stock. 
Adhere to front of card. 
Add clear gemstones to front of sentiment.

Hanging Lights with Stampendous and Dreamweavers

Hi!!! I am super excited to be able to share my Hanging Light Card not only am I apart of the wonderful Stampendous Design Team but I am also with the fabulous Graphic 45 Design Team!!! So this is truly and exciting week to be able to share a project from two of my favorite companies.
I hope you enjoy my tutorial on how I made my Hanging Lights Card….
Begin by adhering  pattern paper to the front of card base.
Stamp background image on green card stock with brown ink. 
 Lay stencil on top of stamped green card stock. 
Apply crackle paste to top with palette knife, dry. 
Adhere to top of card front. 
 Stamp cream card stock with holly background image with green and red ink. 
Stamp background chicken wire to top with brown ink. Stamp circle image with black ink. 
Adhere to red card stock.
Adhere pattern paper to strip to red and green card stock. 
Adhere to front of card . 
Stamp image to white card stock, color with markers.
 Die cut colored image and red card stock, mat together. 
Add to card front with pop dots.

Happy Birthday Card with Stampendous

Whoot!!! Whoot!!!
It’s Friday!!!!
AND…
I am so glad you stop by today to see my Happy Birthday Card using Stampendous House Mouse Balloon Surprise Cling Stamp with Dreamweavers Crusade Stencil. 
I also wanted to share that there is a House Mouse Challenge Blog in case you didn’t know!!!!
Every month they have challenges encouraging you to design with House Mouse Stamps…so make sure to check them out and play along with us on the House Mouse Challenge Blog.
Begin by first adhering red pattern paper to card front. 
 Distress white card stock using Crusade Stencil and distress ink with blending tool. 
Adhere to card front.
 Punch scallop border with black pattern paper. 
Adhere two strips to front of card. 
 Stamp sentiment with VersaMark, emboss with white detail embossing powder. 
 Stamp image with black ink on white mixed media paper, color with markers. 
Die cut colored image and black pattern paper.
 Adhere together. 
Place matted colored image on card front with pop dots. 
Add red gemstones and red bow to front of card.

Jelly Bean Break Card with Stampendous

OH MY!!!
Today is Good Friday!!!
Are you ready for Easter meals, Easter eggs, and Easter Baskets?
Remember the true meaning of the celebration of Easter!!!
The King is Risen!!!
There is Victory over the Death of the Cross!!
Celebrating Our Savior Jesus!!!
Adhere purple card stock to card base.
Stamp purple card stock with Floral Tapestry and VersaMark Ink, emboss with Detail White Embossing Powder, mat to green card stock.
Place on card front with pop dots. 
Stamp Floral Tapestry with VersaMark Ink on white paper,
emboss with Sparkle Lavender, die cut out.
Adhere to card front.
 Stamp Jelly Bean Break on white paper with black ink, color with Copic Markers.
 Emboss jelly beans with Spring Mix Embossing Powder.
 Die cut out.
Place on card front with pop dots. 
 Stamp sentiment on white card stock, mat on green and purple card stock.
Place on front of card with pop dots. 
Add lavender bow and button to front of card.
Have a Blessed Easter Season and enjoy the Spring!!

Jelly Bean Thief Fold Tag Set with Stampendous

WINK!!! WINK!!!
How many jelly beans will you sneak to get this Easter Season?
    Die cut Large Fold Over Tag from teal paper. 
    Emboss with white embossing powder using VersaMark 
    Watermark Ink.

    Die cut with 2 3/4″ circle. 
    Stamp Jelly Bean Thief with black ink on mixed media paper. 

     Color stamped image with markers.
     Fold and make tag. 
    Make a 2 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ tag to fit tag pocket. 
    Emboss with Detail Capri from the Encrusted Jewel Teal Kit using VersaMark Watermark Ink. 
     Add printed ribbon to the bottom of the tag pocket. 
    Place on green card stock. 
    Add colored image on tag front with pop dots. 
    Add teal ribbon bow.
    Add teal ribbon to top with tiny attacher.
     Add green ribbon to top with tiny attacher.
    Add enamel dot.

    Presents Are On The Way

    There is a Sketch Challenge over at House Mouse & Friends to celebrate their 2 year anniversary and they are having a wonderful giveaway. This is my take on the sketch using a House Mouse stamp, Cosmo Cricket Dutch Girl papers and some Sage Flower Soft.

    I distressed some of my paper using Tim Holtz distressing tool. My House Mouse image is colored in with Copic Markers: V15, V17, YR04, YR07, R24, R27, R29, B00, B02, C1, C3, R81, R83, N3, W10, E00, E31, E35, G14, G17, Y15, and 0 (Colorless Blender Pen).
