With Sympathy using Teresa Collins Collection

I am really not a huge fan of making sympathy cards but ever so often you just have to make one. 😦 So today I would like to share one I made for a coworker using Teresa Collins Carolina Breeze. I thought it turned out pretty well, it gave the look of I am sorry for your loss but yet a bit of cheerfulness.

I added a few Prima roses to the top of my card with the sentiment from Paper Smooches. Just so you know Paper Smooches sentiments is really a nice stamp set and has a wide variety of sentiments on its stamp sheet. Hugs Pammejo

Thinking of You Card with My Minds Eye/Prima Flowers

It seems like the last few days several of my friends/acquaintances have been hurting spiritually or been ill or have lost someone that they love. Then to top that we are remembering 9/11 and all that was lost there. I have to remind myself that God holds us in the palm of His hands and that our lives are in his will – with that being in mind  I made a couple of Thinking of You cards to send out this week using My Minds Eye The Sweetest Thing Paper Pad,  paper doilies and Prima flowers and stick pins. My “Thinking of You” is a Hero Arts Message stamp and I love the Inch Punch from EK Success that I laced my sheer ribbon through.
Even during difficult times paper crafting can still be away of making me smile. I hope you have a blessed day. Hugs Pammejo

"Recycle At Its Best"

I made this sweet baby girl gift box for my GCD project this week, I have been getting a lot of things accomplished since I have been spotlighted this month on the GCD facebook. I can’t thank everyone enough for all the sweet comments and visits to my blog.

I used a beverage box to make my gift box from. I covered it with papers from the Homespun Chic Collection. I used Petite Blossom, Mod Flocking and Stitchery Glitter paper and a frame from the Layered Frames embellishment. My ABC’s are My Minds Eye Sophie. I also used Prima and Recollection flowers, along with some gemstones from Recollections and a lot of buttons and twine.
Here is a closer look at the details of the frame and the flowers. Homespun Chic is such a beautiful collection.
Come back tomorrow and I will share about the book that is inside the box. So simple but so cute.

"Homespun Chic Card Tin

I made this lovely tin using the Homespun Chic Collection. Inside are two A2 cards, one 3 x3 card and a gift tag. I have them further down on the blog post.
On the top of the tin I place one of the Layered Frames from the collection and backed it with some of the Vintage Sewing Pattern paper. Love Prima Flowers so just had to add them to the top of the tin along with some bling, lace and tulle. It turned out to be a wonderful gift to give to someone special in my life.

I selected Heidi Grace’s Dream stamps to use in the collection. The heart on the first card is from the Melody Ross Chip Art hearts that I covered with a piece of the Vintage Jane paper. The heart gives dimension to the card, I also took one of the Glass Paper clips and broke off the paper clip so I would be able to continue my theme on my cards and glued it to the center of one of my circles. All pieces throughout the collection is inked with Warm Red Colobox ink. On the button of the 3 x 3 card I enjoy using twine to give button character and depth as to have it just glue onto something.

On my Dream Card I stamped my image and than using my Copic Markers -R24,R27, R29 and G14 I color in my frame. I used the G14 on the borders of the other projects also; again just to give consistency to the cards and tags. I added one of the Glass Paper clips to the top of the Dream frame and placed it and the Imagine frame up on pop dots. Also placed a few of the Prima Flowers and some Kaisercraft bling to my tag. Hope you enjoy my gift tin and make a few for your gift giving.

Love Plaque

This is my first project as a “Spotlight Gal” for GCD Studios. I am honor to have been selected for August. I made this “Love Plaque” simply because I love GCD products. I used the Ella Blue Collection – Frances and Georgia papers, along with the Homespun Chic Pink Redwood paper. I purchased my board at our local craft store for 2.99 , I had a 40% coupon. Yippee!!! My blue berries and brown flowers were also purchased there on sale. Another Yippee!!!
The other flowers are from Prima and Stringing Heart Flowers along with some that I made. I painted my frame first using Creamcoat Burnt Umber. I put my paper on the inside of plaque. Added some large twill ribbon and mini blue ric rac. I took 2 – 3 1/2″ dollies and ink the top of them with my Chestnut Roan ink, once they were ink I glue 1 doily to the lower inside left corner, 1/2 of a doily to the top right of the curve and 1/4 doily to the lower right inside corner of my plaque. My letters are the GCD Big Alphabet that I covered with the Frances Paper and ink using Chestnut Roan ink.

Following are a few picture to show you how to make these flowers. So, so easy and so cute.

I used a Marvy 3 1/2″ punch for my large flowers, but you can use any size. Just remember the smaller the circle the small the flower.

I cut the circle with my scissors so it would be a spiral.

Taking my tweezers I began rolling and as I rolled I would occasionally put us a small amount of glue to hold it into place.

When I got it completely rolled I glue it to a small circle. When I knew my glue was dry I than added it to my plaque along with a little bling. The smaller paper flowers I will be showing you later this month. So please remember to come and check out what tutorials I will have for you to enjoy.
